I would have been more than willing to pay the extra cost, but in the end there just wasn’t time. My vet usually offers home visits, but I was told they were “too busy”. One of many things that will haunt me for a long time is the fact my kitty had to be stressed and frightened in her last moments, and had to die on a steel exam table instead of in my arms. I was able to hold her body afterward, but that was really no consolation for either one of us.
