I second the cobbler over by the Jack In The Box in Admiral. I’m all the way down in Westwood and I use him, because he’s simply the best – and reasonably priced. He’s also old-school, and I like that.
My husband had a pair of boots that didn’t fit his super muscular calves. The cobbler, whose name I can’t recall, sat him down, took measurements every inch along his leg, then told us to return in a week. A week later, my husband had a pair of boots that fit like a glove from ankle to calf, and the leather was so perfectly matched in the inserts, as well as so cleanly designed, it looked like it was the original design of the boot. Nobody can tell it’s a customized boot other than the way it fits. Best part, he charged us only $70 to customize an expensive pair of leather boots. Small repairs are significantly cheaper.
At the time we last used him, he was cash or check only, so be prepared to NOT use a card.
