In The Roommate, empty-nester and recent divorcee Sharon’s world is shaken up by Robyn, her new roommate. Robyn is new to Iowa by way of the Bronx and finds the potential of tornadoes WAY more terrifying than anything happening in the Bronx. This odd couple grows from strangers to friends and then things start to spiral out of control.

More than a comedy, this play looks at the power of women and it challenges the cookie cutter version society tries to form them into, especially middle-aged women. Variety calls The Roommate “loose, rebellious, and even wild.”
