West Seattle
Mioposto is looking forward to Pride Month and celebrating LGBTQIA+ friends, family, and community.
Throughout June, the restaurant is serving up The Sylvia River-ita as their annual Pride cocktail, with 50% of proceeds going to Lambert House, an incredible organization that provides a vital safe haven for LGBTQIA+ youth in Seattle year-round.
Last year, Mioposto raised over $1,500 and they hope to raise even more this June. This year’s drink is The Sylvia River-ita, a bold, mango-jalapeño margarita with a Tajín rim, named in honor of Sylvia Rivera, a radical trans and gay rights activist, community organizer, and a key figure of the Stonewall riots of 1969.
“We were determined that evening that we were going to be a liberated, free community… I will struggle ‘til the day I die and my community will seek the rights that are justly ours.” – Sylvia Rivera
Located in the Capitol Hill neighborhood, Lambert House is a critical resource to safeguard and uplift LGBTQIA+ youth.
Stop by any Mioposto location in Mount Baker, Ravenna, Admiral, or Mercer Island this June to enjoy a Sylvia River-ita and support LGBTQIA+ youth with every sip.
