Looking for a quiet space to slow down this week?
As part of a citywide 40 Days of Prayer initiative happening across Seattle, a local Prayer Room will be open in West Seattle this week for self-guided reflection. The space is designed to be simple, peaceful, and accessible — whether you consider yourself religious, spiritual, unsure, or just in need of a few quiet minutes.
Visitors can move at their own pace through a series of interactive stations centered on themes like pausing, expressing gratitude, releasing worry, and holding hope for our city together. There is no formal program, no preaching, and nothing to sign up for. You don’t need to know how to pray. You’re welcome to simply sit, write, draw, reflect, or quietly take a breath before heading back into your day.
Wondering what the space actually looks like? Here’s a short walkthrough of the interactive stations: Prayer Room walkthrough video
This week’s focus is Youth & Families, with prompts that invite reflection on the well-being of children, caregivers, teens, and future generations in our community.
The experience is designed to be approachable for all ages.
Neighbors are welcome to drop in during open hours — whether for five minutes or an hour.
