Alki Kayak Tours is offering special kayak tours each Saturday in June for paddlers to learn about the Southern Resident orca. Each week will feature a new guest speaker from Washington Environmental Council. Paddle and learn!
Come join us for a special treat this summer to learn about the endangered Southern Resident orcas while we paddle from the Seacrest Boathouse to the Alki Lighthouse and back as we explore Elliott Bay on an adventure that changes daily.
We will meet at 10 a.m. and after a brief kayak fitting and tutorial, get in the boats and head on around Duwamish Head toward Alki beach. Incredible views of the city, the Cascade Mountains, and the Olympic Mountains will be the backdrop for an urban wildlife exploration and journey along a peninsula rich in history. This trip is very popular so book now! Reservations are required, but we can sometimes sign you up on short notice.
