How do we pursue peace in the face of escalating violence, polarization, genocide, and war? One important way is through prayer. All who long for peace are invited to join not only our Parish Family but our larger West Seattle community for a HOLY HOUR FOR PEACE on Wednesday, March 25 from 7:00-8:00 pm at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. The service will include contemplative music, Taizé chant, and prayers for peace. As Pope Leo noted, “Peace is a risk, Leo said: “We must dare peace! Even if the world turns a deaf ear to this appeal, we are certain that God will hear our prayer and the cries of so many who suffer. God wants a world without war. He will free us from this evil!” As we pray together, we grow in communion and solidarity, forming ourselves to bring peace, justice, and healing into a divided world. Please invite friends and family to join us. Contemplative music will begin at 6:45, leading into the holy hour at 7:00. A small reception with refreshments will follow.
