FLUTES IN THE FOREST – FREE outdoor classical music concerts
Enjoy the sounds of Flute and Keyboard – two different programs on two different Saturdays; both concerts from 3:00 – 4:00 PM at Schmitz Preserve Park in West Seattle
August 15 – IvoryRose (Jennie Goldberg, flute and Nancy Kubo, piano) will perform a special children’s program: Luna’s Magic Flute by Blaz Pucihar – a delightful adventure story set to music. The second half will feature baroque to contemporary pieces, including JS Bach, John Rutter, Herman Beeftink, and Mel Bonis.
August 22 – Toujaise (Jennie Goldberg and Jamie Cornutt on flutes and Robin Anderson on keyboard) play a variety of trios including Bach, Franz Doppler, Jon Raybould, Sousa and more!
Bring your own chair or blanket; stay as long as you’d like.
Schmitz Preserve Park is in West Seattle at 5551 SW Admiral Way. Enter Schmitz Park off SW Admiral Way and SW Stevens Way. Walk the paved road 300 feet to the sound of flutes in the forest. Plenty of street parking along SW Stevens.
Concert is FREE and open to the public.
Note: There are no restrooms in the park.
