Father’s Day Grief Walk with Listening to Grief at Schmitz Preserve Park
Sunday, June 16, at 10:00 AM
Free; registration appreciated but not required.

Meet at the Hinds St. entrance to Schmitz Preserve Park.

Join Listening to Grief for a Father’s Day Grief Walk in Schmitz Preserve Park. Walk through one of Seattle’s only old-growth forests with others who are also grieving. All types of grief are welcome, though there will be a focus on fathers and those who filled the role of fathers. During the walk we will stop for poetry, observation, movement, story sharing, and quiet contemplation.

All are welcome. Keep in mind we will be talking about grief and death, which may be sensitive topics for some. The trails are uneven and sometimes narrow, and there are a couple steep inclines and one set of wooden stairs. The ground may be muddy. Bring water and wear comfortable shoes.
