Where:
UW Fishery Sciences Building
1122 NE Boat Street
Seattle

Not in West Seattle, but presented by a West Seattleite!

Join us on August 25th from 10 am-5 pm at the UW Fisheries Science Building to celebrate and learn about the biggest and least understood ecosystem on the planet! Featuring booths, speakers, crafts, live music, food, and much more, this festival will be a free event for anyone in the community.

Everyone, regardless of age, background, and expertise, is invited to explore the complexity of the deep sea, the intersection between a healthy ocean and a healthy community, and solutions to current threats to this vibrant ecosystem.

A Girl Scout Gold Award project with local and global partners such as the Sustainable Ocean Alliance, Seattle Aquarium, and Marine Conservation Institute, the goal of this event is to swirl together education, inspiration, and action to preserve the deep sea.

Best fishes, and we’ll “sea” you there!
