All are invited to attend one of the Community Poetry Salons (details below) where Madison Middle School students will recite poems they’ve memorized. From classics like Lady of Shalott (180 lines!) and Do Not Go Gentle into That Good Night to beloved childhood favorites by Shel Silverstein and Lewis Carroll, this will be a celebration of both poetry and the tenacity it takes to excel at the skill of memorization and the art of recitation.
