West Seattle loves the Arboretum at South Seattle College (WSB sponsor), but did you know that another exciting horticulture project is taking shape on campus? It’s a research study evaluating the potential of Mahonia (think ‘Oregon Grape’) species and varieties for Pacific Northwest landscapes.

This study is the first of its kind in our region and the West Seattle community is invited to get involved. We have a volunteer party scheduled for Saturday 29th, from 9 am-Noon. Please join us & help this exciting project. We’ll have rakes and shovels and tasty refreshments and good company!
