Update: Crews on scene for Fauntleroy/Dawson signal work

As reported here last week, the construction schedule has moved way up for the Fauntleroy/Dawson (map) pedestrian signal. We spotted pole work under way a short time ago (shown in photo above, taken from the west side of Fauntleroy, facing south).

Don’t get me wrong, pedestrian safety is important. Just curious, isn’t there a pedestrian signal 2 blocks south of here? Just wondering if I am remembering right since I live in a different area of WS now.

Hi — If you follow the link to the “as reported here last week” post I believe that was discussed extensively in the 20-plus comments there after someone asked a similar question.

I am glad to see that my tax money is doing something the neighborhood wants.
Making the place livable in spite of ourselves!
    BTW-
Most of those roadburners are NOT Vashon destined, they live just ‘down the road’ in other West Seattle neighborhoods where they moan and gripe about the traffic on ‘their’ streets.

Next project? Paving Fault(rut)roy. Just as soon as pigs fly….

    *sigh*

This is a good move. Too many folks don’t stop for pedestrians like we’re supposed to. I don’t know how folks even manage to park on Fauntleroy… I’d be afraid someone would run into me.

Sorry, comment time is over.
