Junction soon to go Craze-y

crazeclothing.jpg

Even more is afoot at California/Oregon in The Junction: The mortgage office is gone at the northwest corner, and the storefront window has the makeshift sign you see above … promising Crazé Clothing on the way. Only thing we have found out so far — the business license is in the category the city titles “women’s, juniors, misses suits, skirts, and coats.” P.S. Big thank you to the WSB readers who first spotted this and e-mailed us about it, so we could share the news.

I wish them success, but it’s tough to see how clumping together for retailers can be overall good for retail.

Now a men’s store – that would be nice.

Clumping womens’ boutiques together is quite common and successful in many areas. My wife and her friends enjoy it…area boutiques will commonly cooperate with sales and invite-only gatherings. Some decent mens stuff would be nice w/o having to go downtown, I agree.

    (sad face)

I thought this post was going to be about the return of CRAZY MIKE’S Video.

/5 days for .99??? No wonder they went out of buisness…

I just hope this place offers clothing that middle class people can afford, unlike the other shops. $400 for a pair of shoes, $200 for a sweater… Ugh.

I doubt it though. The junction is starting turn into Bellevue.

I agree me me. I don’t shop at any of the Junction clothiers because they are simply out of my price range. Even when they have a so-called “sale.” $80 t-shirts are not affordable.

me me…I quite understand. I have been in none of those little shops that have opened in the Junction, nor have I been to Click in the Admiral District, within walking distance of me, because I simply can’t afford them (and I’m sure they only cater to skinny *itches..hehe). I agree, something closer to the Junction area that has affordable clothes would be nice. I don’t like Marshall’s, and the clothes at Target, while OK, sometimes leave something to be desired. Ah, well…

me me and Jan — you might want to check out teh clothes at Zamboanga on California. While not in Marshall’s or Target price range, their clothes are much more affordable than the other clothing stores in the Junction. I love the people that work there — and they have clothes for all sizes! Lots of drapey, flowing clothes in luscious colors and fabrics.

I like Funky Janes, although the quality of the clothing this past year has seemed not as good as before. (I wonder if it’s because you have to make an appointment 3+ months out, and people just don’t want to deal with that. I used to sell back to them, but don’t for that reason any more.)

But Funky Janes seems to be the only place with affordable clothes in the entire junction. And how many clothing shops are there? And I don’t see many people going into the boutiques. I guess that’s why a skirt is $250.

I’m sure this will be just the same as the rest.

I think the name alone would suggest this isn’t going to be a high-end boutique.

Curiously, the Craze Clothing signs have been removed.

Sorry, comment time is over.
