Mysterious “artist” strikes again

Some would call him/her/them an artist, some a vandal. Whatever the case — looks like the person/s behind the bear, the owl, the Grouchos, etc., has struck again — the photo below is just in from Nick Peters, who spotted it under The Bridge (and at almost the same moment, we got a note from someone else saying only ONE Groucho is left! LATE UPDATE: a photopost proves it).

Thank you for solving the mystery! Obviously we didn’t google well enough to find that ourselves. Actually we blogged about his bear under the WS Bridge back in November … first known sighting over here. Wonder if he did the Grouchos, too; they don’t fit the wildlife theme.

Actually according to the information we were turning up, it’s paper attached with wheat paste (haven’t heard the term “wheat paste” since grade school).

There’s an exceeding beautiful piece of outside art on the way down Bonair from Sunset to Alki Ave. If you haven’t walked, driven, rode down this street, it’s a beauty. The image is stenciled (i believe) on a guardrail about half way down the street. Map here.
