FRIDAY NIGHT: Family skating at Alki Community Center: “This weekly event at Alki Community Center is suitable for all ages and all abilities! This is a great time to practice your skills and tricks while experiencing a roller-rink atmosphere. You can always look forward to the Limbo, and friendly racing. If you don’t have your own skates, you can borrow a pair of ours!” 6:45-8:45 pm ($3/person)

SATURDAY MIDDAY: Admiral UCC Church (California/Hill) holds free monthly support groups the 2nd Saturday of every month, facilitated by Janice Milliman, BSW, Social Worker. * Caring for the Caregiver group meets from 10:30 to 11:30 am; * Living with Loss group from noon to 1 pm (brown-bag lunch). All information is confidential.

SATURDAY MIDDAY: West Seattle High School Cheerleaders’ fundraising car wash (free air freshener for the first 15 cars!), 10:30 am-2:30 pm

SATURDAY NIGHT: West Seattle Family YMCA (WSB sponsor) presents Parents Night Out, 5:30-10 pm @ West Seattle location, 4515 36th SW. Kids ages 3 months – 12 years have a safe and fun evening at the Y while parents go out or relax at home. $22.50-$30 depending upon child’s age. Space is limited. Registration required.

SATURDAY NIGHT: Camp Long presents Nighttime Low Tide at the Beach. Ages 6 and older. Nocturnal Sea Creatures! Limpets, nudibranchs, octopi, seastars, chitons, and tube worms. Gather your friends and family and experience the fun of exploring this fascinating world together. Please wear very warm clothing and waterproof footwear, bring a flashlight if you have one, or we’ll provide one. All ages are welcome, but participants must be able to walk on slippery seaweed!
