West Seattle Weather Watch: All’s well so far

Seriously breezy but not catastrophically windy; no major problems reported overnight or currently. The National Weather Service‘s morning “forecast discussion” says this system is moving through “as advertised” and things should quiet down later this morning, with the next notable development some colder air on Thursday with daytime highs as low as the upper 40s. 7:43 AM UPDATE: In comments, Hopey notes a Fauntleroy/Arbor Heights Comcast service outage. We’ll update if we can find out more about its status.

Don’t forget to check your street drains, all the leaves falling down fastly clog the drains and make street flooding happen quite quickly. I cleaned mine out several times yesterday and am sure I will be doing more the following weeks. I saw several spots on California that were really bad!

The power is out in a small part of Fauntleroy, south of Wildwood PL, goes as far as Marine View Dr. according to the SCL website. It’s been down since noon.

Comcast mentioned (for our followup, which is a separate post) that there might be a pocket electricity outage near their cable outage, but when we talked to SCL not long ago they didn’t mention it. Will check back.

Sorry, comment time is over.
