Spring is not too early to think about cool-season gardening. Learn tips from Bill Thorness, local author of “The Cool Season Gardener.”

It’s a good idea to consider fall and winter needs when planning your summer garden — some of the longer-season veggies, like overwintering brassicas, should be planted in early summer.

Bill Thorness will present a slide show, followed by a Q&A session.

The Edible Garden Series includes events and presentations for all ages at Library branches around the city in April and May. Learn about edible gardening, food advocacy and sustainability in coordination with our local partner organizations.
