SATURDAY MORNING: The Hiawatha Tae Kwon Do Club is looking for new members for its ongoing classes at the Hiawatha Community Center in West Seattle. Adults (18 and older) can sign up to learn Tae Kwon Do, a Korean martial art known for its fast sparring techniques, dynamic forms, and strong kicks. The club is focused on self-improvement in a non-competitive atmosphere that promotes unity, respect, and indomitable spirit. Classes cost $30/month and meet Mondays & Thursdays 7-8:30 pm and Saturdays 11:15 am-1:15 pm. Beginners are definitely welcome and preferred; new students can join at any time! SATURDAY EVENING: The Fauntleroy Children’s Center is hosting its 23rd annual dinner and auction on Saturday, March 6th. The theme is “Be a Superhero, support FCC!” Costumes are welcome! The event starts at 5:30 with silent auctions, moving into dinner at 7:00 and the dessert auction and live auctions taking place at 8:00pm. The auction will be held at the Hall at Fauntleroy, 9131 California Avenue SW, 98136. Tickets cost $50 per person and include dinner and gratuity. Child care will be offered on-site at the Fauntleroy Children’s Center for $20 per child. Children will be served dinner and snacks and are encouraged to bring their pajamas!
