8:44 AM: See the cameras below – the blocking vehicle on the bridge is currently shown on the high-bridge camera, and the Delridge camera shows the backup from the onramp trouble.

8:54 AM: Commenter CJ reports, “There’s a white pickup spun out and stuck in the ditch below the Welcome to WS sign.”

    • Foop November 14, 2025 (7:34 am)

There’s a storm drain there, likely blocked by leaves, file a find it fix it

      • Actualperson November 14, 2025 (7:39 am)

Considering my luck with find it fix it leaves will be cleared in time for fall ’26.

It’s very deep! The water came in through the bus door. The east side of the bridge is also pretty flooded.

      • Eddie November 14, 2025 (8:55 am)

Looks like the bike trail along the right side of that section is in pretty bad shape as well.

        • AK November 14, 2025 (10:34 am)

It is. Anyone commuting on bike should be aware of it and consider using alternate routes today – especially those on e-bikes.

Sunset at 4:33pm. Pull out your fluffy blankets, cookies, candles and light boxes. Bulking season has arrived.

I’ve lived here for 10 years and have never seen the flooding at the on-ramp as bad as it was this morning. Also, the Delridge underpass at the bridge is flooded.

    • NDelridgeMom November 14, 2025 (8:56 am)

Same. I drove through the flooding at 7:40am because once I saw it I couldn’t back out. It was much deeper than it looked. The car in front of me had its engine flooded, and immediately blocked my visibility with steam once we made it out of the “puddle”. Really glad I didn’t crash into them and hope that person was able to get a tow quickly. I hope police have blocked the entrance. It’s not safe.

There’s a white pickup spun out and stuck in the ditch below the Welcome to WS sign.

    • WSB November 14, 2025 (8:54 am)

There too! OK, that’s two spinouts, then. Thanks. No cameras there.

      • Amber P November 14, 2025 (9:08 am)

The pickup truck was there last night when I drove by around 10:30pm.

  • 22blades November 14, 2025 (9:47 am)

White contractor van spun out mid west bound high span. Looks like his rooftop ladders almost went over the edge.

    • CarDriver November 14, 2025 (11:10 am)

When I went by eastbound there was an SDOT truck blocking. The ladders were lying on the side with 3 of the workers standing there evidently waiting for another truck to come out to pick them up.

  • CEGT1111 November 14, 2025 (5:39 pm)

There is a stalled vehicle blocking the left lane on the eastbound side of the bridge just after the merge from Avalon.
