TRAFFIC ALERT: Truck driver hits hydrant, pole at 15th/Roxbury

10:20 AM: Avoid 15th/Roxbury – a truck driver is reported to have hit a utility pole and hydrant, and dispatch says “water is flooding the streets.” Video sent by a reader shows water indeed is gushing from the hydrant.

10:37 AM: An officer just told dispatch the trailer has a blown-out tire, so it’s likely to be there a while.

That’s what that noise was!  Heard the truck accelerating, ended by a loud bang.

I’m surprised it isn’t the Southwest Plumbing truck i just followed up highland park at 55mph. This guy was racing another car up the hill.  Turned on Holden and thought he was going to roll it. Across Holden at 35 to 40 mph. Great advertisement for your company.

Call and report it they can gps track their trucks and speeds. Absolutely unsafe and inappropriate business representation

Interesting you said that,  I witnessed one of their trucks speeding down admiral and making dangerous pass, reported to the company

I had a Southwest Plumbing truck speed up behind me and tailgate me on southbound 509 near Burien last week. Same driver or a culture of reckless driving? Hard to be sure, but they’re on my “do not hire” list.

Some advertisement for their company. Everyone need to be much more careful behind the wheel. Plumbers are no exception.

Was a stuck semi by Met Market earlier. 2 SPD commercial enforcement vehicles responded and got him backed out and on his way down Admiral.

Just at the seen- “Look on my WaterWorks, ye Mighty, and despair! Nothing beside rusty remains. Round the decay Of that colossal Wreck, boundless and bare The red and yellow leaves stretch far away.”- after PBS

One of the worst spots to place a water hydrant and was left unprotected. Moreover i see it was actually protecting a much bigger pole .

I used to do installation, or replacement of water lines, That looks to be a normal amount of rust buildup. When your water turns brown, that’s generally because SFD flushes the hydrants/ water lines.to make sure they function.Thank you SFD for all you do.

It’s amazing how much water is in one of those things
