I missed earlier WSB stories about this. What is the street address of the space?

Sorry, my error in not including that – I’ve added it as the last line. 2820 Alki Avenue SW.

Some confusion – is it the physical building for sale, or the stuff that used to be inside it?  Or both?

    • WSB January 2, 2024 (4:37 pm)

The items that comprised the business. Not the building, they, like the other businesses in that building, were tenants.

i am sad to see close. I think this business can have lots of success in West Seattle but on a different street with easier parking. Maybe 35th SW? Delridge? Fauntleroy?

I also think it could’ve been ver successful if it were in a larger space. The play space was just too small compared to other play spaces around- playtorium, play date SEA, etc

Yeah, I think Playdate SEA has it figured out with the large overpriced cafe and multiple interactive things in the play area. Expensive but way better than sitting on an uncomfortable bench waiting for my kid to get tired.

Yeah, I was really hoping that something like Play Date SEA would move into WWV when Barnes and Noble moved out.

Same! I keep hoping something like that or something kid related will go into the former Bed Bath and Beyond space. But Westwood continues to disappoint me so it’s unlikely.

+1 to thisI hate to see a small business close because I can only imagine how much work went into realizing what was a very cool concept, but this location was not right for the business. And I’m sure COVID really crushed them, too. I do think there’s a real need for a large indoor playspace within West Seattle though, the closest maybe being Defy in Tukwila.

Sorry, comment time is over.
