This took place on my block and one of the cars involved came to rest in front of our house.  Multiple people called 911 and the response was very swift.  The driver of the car that ended up in front of my house was arrested for DUI and was taken away via ambulance.  I have no idea as to the extent of his injuries but he was very verbal.  The other driver had family that came to get her.  I stood outside my house from right after the crash happened ( I didn’t see it) until all of the the police and ambulance left.  His car was towed, I believe by the city, but the other car still remains a little further up the block.  I’d really like to thank all of the responders including those that cleaned up the fluids from the cars.  I’ve included pictures if you’d like to use them.Unfortunately this is now the 4th accident within a two block span of Trenton between 34th and 30th that has happened within a 3 month span.  Our own car was parked in front of our house and hit by a young man who was popping wheelies on his motorbike and lost control.  Lots of repair money and anguish later, I am thankful that we weren’t parked in front of our house last night because that Ford Focus would have plowed into the rear of our vehicle.  Does anyone know how we could go about requesting cameras and speed warnings for this stretch of Trenton because we need more coverage than just down by the school.

Idk what happened to the pics I was trying to post of the car but they must not have attached properly.  I do have them if you’d like.  Was just contacted by the police unit investigating and gave my witness statement so don’t want to say anything more about it in public.  Thanks SO much for the info on traffic calming!

I agree with your assessment of the traffic on Trenton. It seems tad less aggressive now that the high bridge is reopened, but I don’t feel safe crossing there walking, which I do fairly often. Hopefully we see some traffic calming soon!

Sorry, comment time is over.
