HOLIDAYS: West Seattle’s mini-‘Pathway of Lights’

Thanks to Jon for the photos and report:

A bunch of folks on the 4800 block of 46th Ave SW signed up for Parks & Recreation’s Pathway of Lights activity. Tonight would have been the night of the Green Lake event.

As noted here last night, you are invited to light a luminaria – or more than one! – next Saturday (December 19th) to show the “Spirit of West Seattle.”

It was fun to find this cheery surprise on our walk last night!

It was absolutely amazing to discover! Are the luminaries the basic lunch bags and candles? What a magical way to show off your block. Thank you WS neighbors!

we used to do this when we had our Christmas open house back in the day. Just lunch bags that we cut out like paper snowflakes, or they can be purchased too – they are available on amazon (of course) maybe some of our local stores carry them too?  We’d weight them down with rocks or sand, and put a tea light in them.  so festive! we hope to participate on Saturday – 41st Ave SW, south of Holly St. – maybe some neighbors will participate too!

Sorry, comment time is over.
