WATER OUTAGE: Emergency repairs at Delridge/Hudson

Seattle Public Utilities is repairing a water line at Delridge/Hudson. That’s affecting more than 140 homes and businesses, according to the SPU water-outage map. We don’t know if it’s related to the Delridge road work, but an advisory about it was sent to a text-message list associated with that project, saying service might be affected until tomorrow morning.

The outage has also significantly impacted water pressure outside of the outage map. Almost no pressure on 23rd.

Thanks. Water outages (and hydrant tests) have a way of doing that. Any concerns, the SPU emergency # is 206-386-1800.

Anyone got a count on the number of utility incidents this project has caused so far.  Assuming it is project related.

My water just came back on @ Delridge & Trenton. 12 hrs. later. I heard something about oxidation of the plumbing.

I want to reply to my own comment to clarify something – my building had a contractor knock out water earlier in the day. Which is where I got the 12 hrs. from. SPU actually only heard about it later in the evening, and were here working on it for around 2-3 hrs., late into the night. Appreciate SPU’s hard work in getting this resolved!

It is good to have communication between SPU (water) and contractors, especially if SPU (water) is working on a water main leak that might impact the contractor’s work area.

Sorry, comment time is over.
