WEST SEATTLE CRIME WATCH: South Delridge car prowl

From Kristin:

Our car was broken into some time Tuesday night/Wednesday morning between the hours of 8 pm and 6 am. We were parked in front of the Salvation Army White Center Corps on 16th Ave between Henderson & Barton. Our passenger-side window was smashed and a backpack was stolen containing various electronics worth over $400.

Seems that there have been car prowls one block north and one block south of Henderson from 20th to 15th for several months now. Please report them to the police or at least your block watch captain. Too many residents are just chalking it up to the area. It would be great to catch whomever is doing the prowling.

A friend of ours, who parked in the same area, got a pair of brand new Nikes stolen out of his car a couple weeks ago too. We did file a claim with the police and emailed our landlord. I do hope whoever is responsible for all this is caught.

Sorry, comment time is over.
