I was a block away when I heard the shots. Sounded like 6 shots from one gun then screeching tires

Exact same thing 3 shots fired instead of the 5 this morning) in the same place happened on Jan 13th @ 2:22am. the report I submitted to SPD that night was:@ 2:22 am heard (loud, so close) 3 small arms gunshots coming from east of my location at Trenton and Delridge, racing down Trenton heading West (occupants yelling) and then heard them speeding (loud buzzing aftermarket exhaust) south (most likely on Delridge).

I’m on top of the hill and 5 shots were clearly heard at 12:03. Disappointing that it takes 15 minutes for the police to get there.

They were there much sooner than my 12:18 timestamp – I waited until hearing confirmation of gunfire before posting something; it was *not* immediately after their arrival.

This happened right outside of my bedroom window. As far as I could see, I was on my porch while the officers were out here, they found 4 shell casings. My porch is literally just a sidewalk away from Delridge.

Is there a broader investigation being opened since this is now a repeat occurrence? What was the outcome from the January shots fired?

    • History Repeats February 16, 2020 (12:02 pm)

There was no dispatch as far as I am aware when I called.

I wonder if neighbors started putting up recorded cameras in the neighborhood if it’d help police document and find who’s doing it?  I’m sure criminals wouldn’t like being recorded on video as well.

To DL, you must be new to the area, the criminals around here have no issues with being recorded on video. Some of them even look right at the cameras and make faces or wave hello! I think it’s a WS thing. lol. I installed  cameras at one of my properties and when I told the people who like my covered parking area that we now have cameras, one guy looked at me and said “we are recorded everywhere we go, who cares” then looked at the camera and said “hi Camera”! Idiots

Sorry, comment time is over.
