UPDATE: Lily has been found

THURSDAY MORNING UPDATE: SPD says Lily has been found, safe.

Last night, we mentioned the search for a missing autistic woman in West Seattle. This morning, police say she is still missing. Here’s an updated photo of the missing woman, Lily:

Police say Lily is 24, 5’3″, 150 lbs, and was last seen in the 3500 block of SW 108th in Arbor Heights, possibly headed toward Westwood Village. She was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt with logo, gray sweatpants, and tennis shoes. May head toward Westwood Village. If you see her or have any information, please call 911.

As a mother of a child with autism, I find it very disturbing that there is not more information available about Lily, media coverage is almost non-existent and there has been no organization of a search party that I have heard. Is it usual for her to disapear for days on end? Does she have access and is she comfortable using the Metro System? Why is there not more being done to find this women who may have spent the last two nights out alone, cold and hungry somewhere?

  This is the only information that SPD has disseminated, so that’s all we and other media have. We have not heard directly from her family (as we do sometimes in missing-person cases) and would certainly publish more if they contacted us with any additional info – TR
