UPDATE: Trying to call a local business? Comcast phone service problems

WEDNESDAY, 12:45 PM: If you’re trying to call a business and having trouble getting through … it might be the Comcast business-phone outage that’s affecting our area and others in the country. Here’s the Comcast tweet about it:

So far we’ve heard from (updated) three West Seattle businesses affected.

THURSDAY, 9:39 AM: Two commenters just mentioned the trouble’s not resolved. And Comcast confirms that via Twitter:

    We have been experiencing it all day down in Georgetown today.  Some calls have come through while others are just silent when you answer the phone.

    Our wireless has been failing for days.  I’ve called and called, get a different answer each time.   So frustrating!

    Around 530 it affected our business Internet also, which prohibited credit card sales.  When I called they said they’d be up again 9:30 PM tonight.

    Do we know if there is still a problem with Comcast Thursday 6/7/18?  We can’t seem to dial out but we are getting calls coming in.  I can’t find anything online except for the stuff happening yesterday 6/6/18?

    While our internet is fine, our business phones are out again, and calls only come through intermittently. So frustrating.

      Via Twitter, Comcast says “most” have been restored but a “small group” still has trouble. Will add.

    Was finally able to reach someone at Comcast customer service after being on hold for 45 minutes. They said estimated time for service to return is 2pm, and that they will be issuing credits for the outages yesterday and today on an upcoming bill.

        just tried the phones again and they’re back up for us. (we’ll see how long that lasts, haha!)
