TRAFFIC ALERT: Crash on eastbound West Seattle Bridge

If you have to head east, you might want to wait a while. We’re receiving multiple reports of a multiple-vehicle crash on the eastbound bridge, near the 99 exit. (Added: SDOT image.)

This was actually 2 crashes. A 2 car incident followed by a 3 car incident. Both were caused by drivers going too fast for the traffic and conditions during that flash rain storm late Monday morning. The 3 drivers that rear ended the other 2 cars were simply not paying attention. I was involved in the 2nd crash and could see that the car behind me wasn’t going to be able to stop. The car behind her suffered the same problem. Between the 5 cars, 4 are totaled.  Please pay attention and drive accordingly on the bridge. It’s a gateway in and out of West Seattle and even a minor crash can cause headaches for all West Seattlites.

Sorry, comment time is over.
