Artist Desmond Hansen was just finishing that portrait on the signal box at the northwest corner of 35th SW and SW Morgan when we saw him and pulled over for a photo. It’s been three days since we first showed you his other creations, painted on signal boxes in Morgan Junction. In a comment on that story, he mentioned he was thinking about painting Bruce Lee, among other Seattle-linked luminaries – and now, he has.
Very cool. Are more of these planned? I’d love to see the art closer to Alaska and Admiral junctions too.
Would love to support him to do more in The Morgan Junction. Love the work and theme.

I have to ask about the finger gestures though. Are those middle fingers pointing up or is that just me?

Visit brucelee.com and you can view the photo that this is based on. Hands and fingers are notoriously hard to draw, esp. in perspective, but it may also be the artist’s choice.
