BEWARE traffic is bad because SPD is guarding the bus lane.

No, traffic is bad because bus lane violators are forcing police to take action. Don’t blame the police for doing their job. And don’t drive in the bus lane.

There is actually some truth to that.  When the cops patrol the bus lane it DOES slow down traffic because the pulled over cars create a choke point.

I wish they would just put in a camera and send tickets via mail – ala 520.  They’d probably make a lot more money AND stop the cheating REAL QUICK.

Again, it is not the cops’ fault. They wouldn’t be out there if it weren’t for the violators. Cameras would be great, though. They could put them on Avalon and on 99, too.

Yes, exactly! And it would be done every single day  instead of every few weeks or so.  People would know they’re going to get caught and stop doing it.  This way they take a chance because they know there’s probably going to be no enforcement.

Took an hour and 15 minutes to get from Trader Joes on Fauntleroy to downtown. After living here for 18 years – 13 in West Seattle – I have maybe one more year in Seattle within me.
