Northbound 99 is extra slow this morning.

Now suddenly the sign just lit up with the message that the viaduct is closed!?!

    • stb January 18, 2017 (7:43 am)

      The sign lied. Viaduct open.

Any idea what’s going on with the lower bridge. The alert lights weren’t flashing but no movement.

There is a huge puddle on Delridge at Myrtle. Bus stop pretty much inaccessible.

You would think with technology ease with which to communicate with one another car pooling would increase out of West Seattle.

Sylvan and Orchard by Home Depot look like someone took dynamite to them. Golfball and baseball sized hunks of asphalt blasted out of major potholes hidden by the waterfalls. Also looks like a sink hole is developing.

Both have been reported via find it fix it and by phone to SDOT.  Now that they’ve been notified   if anyone gets a flat tire it’s on them until it’s fixed.  Be careful on all the roads around Home Depot.

Take a minute to check storm drains near your house and rake out leaves!

Large puddle at Delridge and Hudson. Quite deep.

  • Mike January 18, 2017 (8:55 am)

Admiral Way had a flowing River, waterfalls over the retaining walls

Forest Service Road 35th Ave SW has about 20 old/new potholes between SW Othello and SW Webster.  Tired of reporting it on the Find it and F-it app. The half-baked repair jobs don’t last 2 days. What’s the point.

“Forest Service Road 35th Ave SW”—well stated.  It’s a rough ride through there.  It was noticeably bad before the recent storm.

There is a two-foot-deep puddle on Spokane St at the bottom of the ramp up to the bridge that you reach from Admiral Way or Avalon/Harbor. Better to get on the bridge via Fauntleroy.

  • iggy January 18, 2017 (10:59 am)

is the puddle  at Avalon/Harbor delaying the RR C?

We went through the area a short time ago and didn’t see any problems.

I wonder how the hill where the 100+ trees were cut is holding up.

    WSNOOB – cracked me up.

Having moved out of WS a couple months ago, now living in the foothills of the Olympics, I can verify that most Forest Service roads are WAY better than the roads in WS.  We were back in town for the holidays and commented numerous times how awful the roads are.

Sorry, comment time is over.
