West Seattle Crime Watch: Westwood Game Stop robbed

Police are investigating a robbery this past hour at the Game Stop store in Westwood Village, right around closing time. We’re just back from talking with officers and the store clerk, who said the robber tried to pepper spray him, then took a swing at him, and eventually got away with some cash. No medical attention needed; no suspect descriptions. We had just left the West Seattle Crime Prevention Council meeting, where Southwest Precinct commander Capt. Pierre Davis had mentioned that robberies are a category of crime currently on the upswing citywide – full report to come.

Is this at all related to the police standoff at 35th & 104th about 1000pm?

Really? Robing a Game Stop? How much do you expect to get? A couple of hundred dollars maximum. Feel so bad for employees who have to deal with this stuff.
    .
If they bring out the K9, it would probably follow the perp right to the Rapid Ride/Roxhill Vermin Sanctuary. Unfortunately for Game Stop, it is one of the closest places for the druggies that hang in that area to get cash.

No, actually, apparently the suspected getaway vehicle was found in Arbor Heights. I am still working to verify this but might not be able to as now there’s a shooting elsewhere

Maybe the suspect REALLY had to get his hands on Fallout 4 and didn’t want to shell out the $60…

So, was anyone apprehended in the “standoff on 35th and 104th”?

We FINALLY, hours after first seeking it, have confirmation that an arrest was made there and that it’s linked to the store robbery. Separate story shortly.

Sorry, comment time is over.
