The big local sports story over the weekend was the West Seattle High School girls-varsity basketball team ending the regular season with a perfect record in their conference and head coach Sonya Elliott being named Metro League coach of the year for the second time in three years (WSB coverage here). Coach Elliott says their first playoff game is Wednesday night (February 11), 7:30 pm at Nathan Hale HS, against the winner of tonight’s Holy Names/Ballard game. P.S.
