Closing arguments continue tomorrow at Morgan Junction murder trial

gavel.jpgUpdate from the King County Courthouse downtown: The murder trial of Lovett “Cid” Chambers in the January 2012 shooting death of Travis Hood has just recessed for the day. The gallery was full, including family/friends from both sides, as closing arguments began this afternoon; prosecutor Maggie Nave got about 40 minutes into hers – the judge allotted each side up to 2 hours – before a defense objection led to the jury leaving the room, and an eventual decision to conclude proceedings for the day. Nave – who declared early in her argument, “This case can be summed up in one sentence: This is a case about a drunk guy with a gun” – will resume her presentation around 9 am. The defense will follow, and then the case is in the jury’s hands. The trial has not been in session on Fridays, when trial judges handle other matters such as sentencing hearings, but the jury will deliberate this Friday if needed. Our full report on this afternoon’s session – the morning was devoted to working out details of the jury instructions – will be up later; our report on Tuesday’s proceedings, which includes links to our previous six weeks of stories, is here.

Well I am inches from being able to close this chapter of my life thank goodness unfortunately i was forced to live with the horrid memory of that evening. I was turned into this drug addict trouble making racist and its so heartbreaking to think that the Devil Advocates word play can create such an illusion in creating a defense i have a clear concious that my friend Travis died wrongfully and with no cause. Chambers looked in my eyes as i testified and I hope no one ever has to see the utter evil glare i saw in court he’s a man with no remorse and deserves eternity in hell after prison

I hope the Devils Advocates illusions created with word play don’t stop justice from prevailing. With my testimony i was suddenly on a character of myself trial I was turned into a drug dealing ignorant racist criminal but i rest knowing that i am a humanitarian that has been nothing but truthful on all of my accounts of that horrid night. I hope the jurors were seeing Chambers eyes as i testified i even at one point remarked how he looked as if he wanted eat my face off as i was testifying. Knowing how scary that was to look into a killers eyes all i can hope for all humanity is that he spends the rest of his life in prison away from civilization. Chambers has inflicted so much pain on humanity from his existence and done it in such a cunning way that people are actually falling for his drunken concoction of his recollection of the murder i just want to forgive anyonne who doubts Chambers guilt but had you witnessed what i saw no matter what my past or yours may be comprised of you would waant to know that you are believed after surviving and witnessing such an evil unjust act of murdder

Haha…nice try! I think you know you were in the wrong Jamie…hence the late push to make Cid seem guilty by way of a community forum.

Oh Please,Jamie! That is such a transparent crock of s*#+! The “eat my face off” comment is enough to show your TRUE colors. Possibly you and your friend shouldn’t have started something, big man.

Funny because I’m sure the jurors saw it as i did hence me saying that on the stand I’m sure justice will prevail and ignnorant will most likely stay ignorant i. went to tell the jury what i saw and that’s it and wow what a nicely reh crock of crap that the Chambers clan created that had no supporting evidence now King County probably has invested I’m quite sure has a million dollars invested in this trial on top of the thousands that Chambers owes the State. and King Coun
