West Seattle coffee: It’s opening day for Admiral Bird

West Seattle’s newest space-sharing coffee collaboration, Admiral Bird, is open for business as of this morning, on the southeast corner of California/Admiral.

As first reported here last November, Admiral Bird is a partnership between Heidi from Bird on a Wire Espresso (which remains open at 35th/Henderson) and Corina from Circa Alehouse across the street from the new venture. It’s in the front half of the Flower Lab (also remaining open) space. Check ’em out until 3 pm today (for other hours, check here).

I am so excited! I love this coffee shop and was sad to see it go a few years back! Welcome back to the neighborhood!

Anyone know what coffee roaster/s they use?
    Thanks

Eric – if you follow the link to our previous story from November, there’s a lot more background – including the mention of Ravens Brew coffee. – TR

Looking forward to trying this place out. Yeah Heidi!

Did you realize the link for Bird on a Wire Espresso is expired? FYI

Hmm, that’s always been their website, but yes, it seems to be a parking page. Though we always prefer to link to websites on the free & open WWW, we’ll have to go with the FB page instead … thanks … TR

Posting a big RAVE for Flower Lab. They did some large display flowers for an event we had over the weekend. Wow! They were amazing. Kind, courteous, great customer service, beautiful flowers. You guys rock!

    Congrats Heidi.
Eric, I think she uses Raven’s Brew (based in Tacoma?)…at least she used to.

It doesn’t look like she has a website currently(?)

The brew is Ravens Brew from Tumwater and the website is under construction. We will have the new one finished this week. Thanks for all the encouragement and support.

With ZERO parking, I’ll be sticking with Starbucks!!!

Great contribution, “The boss” – it’s very important we all know what you’ll be sticking with.

I cannot wait to come and try; it looks awesome ladies! The bar looks beautiful.

Just stopped by there today- this second location is just as welcoming and fun, with the same awesome drinks, eats, and service, as their first location. Plus, I could wander back to Flower Lab while sipping my chai. Great to see Admiral has another good locally-owned small business coffee shop!

(I’d personally rather my money went to other West Seattle business owners than a worldwide corporation, and there’s plenty of street parking on California Ave, “The boss”)

Sorry, comment time is over.
