West Seattle biznote: Yes, that’ll be a Sherwin-Williams store

It’s come up multiple times in the past few days – from the WSB Forums to a question via text message just now – so we’re mentioning this in case you wondered too: There’s finally somewhat-official confirmation that the building going up behind the Delridge Arco station will be a Sherwin-Williams Paint store. When we published a quick item about the construction work two months ago, a few readers said that’s what they had heard, but the company’s PR people didn’t answer our query, and at the time, there was no evidence online. Now (in the form of a sign permit), there is.

Good thing there isn’t a store nearby that sells paint!

Actually, a couple of the people we have heard from said that Sherwin-Williams likes to pick locations near large hardware/construction-type stores like this.

I am still hoping that Delridge will eventually get a large grocery store. There are too many c-stores selling foods that aren’t the healthiest.

Ironic, seeing how the Junction/Triangle area will soon be home to 4 sizeable grocery stores.

I’m surprised they aren’t replacing their 6th Ave store instead, it has nearly no floor space and only a couple of parking spaces. I hope they make it here. It will be nice to have professional products available without having to leave West Seattle.

Sorry, comment time is over.
