West Seattle traffic alert: 42nd and Alaska stoplight trouble

8:16 PM: Thanks to everybody who texted and e-mailed about this. The stoplight at 42nd and Alaska has been having trouble for at least an hour – did not appear to be anyone directing traffic or fixing when last we went through 15 minutes or so – please let us know if you’ve seen otherwise.

9:15 PM: In comments, Vivienne reports passing through around 9 pm with no problem.

We went through that intersection about 15 minutes ago and it seems to be fine now.

Thank you! Saves us some time and fuel to get that update – TR

It was “on the blink” when we walked down to Trader Joes at about 7pm. Same when we came back. Everyone we saw was very polite (cars and peds). Someone said it had something to do with the C Ride Bus remote control. Is this the same type of thing that happened with the light down by kfc?
I am very glad it was stuck at red, not green.

Patt – I know it’s on the route but we won’t be able to ask anyone at SDOT about it until at least Wednesday – the first day our contacts will be back in the office – so officially, no info on the cause – TR

Sorry, comment time is over.
