Celebrating fall in the waning days of summer, Holy Rosary School‘s family festival WestFest is on till 10 tonight – and while the outdoor attractions can be hair-raising:

There’s live entertainment on into the evening. We just missed Bret Wiggins, the award-winning Elvis-tribute artist, early this afternoon; at 3 pm, it’s magician Raymond Ejarque; 4 pm, “West Seattle Idol 2012“; 6-9:30 pm, DaCoda with “classic rock and vocal pyrotechnics.” Emceeing the festivities, West Seattleite and KING 5 TV personality Jim Dever.
