Two reports for West Seattle Crime Watch – a vandalized van used by a coach for special-needs kids, and a hit-run victim looking for witnesses – read on:
From Holly:
(Saturday) night my husband who is a camp director and runs camps for kids with special needs went to return his 15-passenger work van to his work place and discovered that a hole had been punched in the gas tank. The van was parked in front of our residence (between Thistle and Cloverdale on 18th Ave SW).
The tow truck driver said this is not as uncommon as you might think. People are puncturing gas tanks and draining the fuel. Not sure if this was the case or not.
And from Tammy:
(Friday) night at 7:00 pm I was driving south on I5 working my way over to the West Seattle Bridge exit lane when another vehicle clipped my rear left side. Whoever hit me had plenty of time to get to the exit, but they chose not to. It ruined my bumper and will cost $1000+ to repair. If anyone happened to see this last night could you let me know? I was driving a 2007 Green Honda Pilot.
