Congrats! WS Wildcats youth-football team championship-bound

Congratulations to another winning team! From Travis, who also shared the video:

Folks, your West Seattle community has a winner in its presence!!! Its your 7,8,9 year-old West Seattle Wildcats youth football team! There’s even some 6-year-old development players that have seen some good playing time this year during games!

We’d like to take this time to invite you to the Northwest Junior Football League 89ers championship game hosted at Shoreline Stadium next Saturday, November 5th at 9:00 AM. Come get introduced to the West Seattle Wildcats playing for their championship after a great season of youth football. If you have a child you are interested in getting into the great game of football, or you want a winning team from your community to root for, or you just want to see some high-flying offense and hard hitting defense, come and cheer and experience youth football at its finest!

The 89er Wildcats this year have averaged 32 points of offense per game, with an average margin of victory over 20 points.

Travis’s report continues:

The team has 33 kids in age groups 6,7,8,9 years old with a minimum play rule of 10 plays per child per game. However, many kids average far more than their 10 plays every week because of their high output of points. It truly has been a great season for youth football at this age level with kids having more fun than they’ve ever had playing football.

The team is led by head coach Joel Gaither, a thoughtfull and organized head coach if there ever has been. The system Joel has implemented and taught to these kids, and his assistant coaches has produced a wonderful season for parents, kids, and coaches alike. Many thanks go out to Joel and his wife Michelle. The endless hours and investment they’ve made into these kids life will continue with them throughout all of their childhood. That investment my friends, is priceless.

We ask for your support and enthusiasm for this year’s youth football program in the West Seattle area. If you come to the game, you will not be disapointed, witnessing a well disciplined, hard hitting, explosive team not often experienced at the 89er level. After every game, the kids stand in a line and clap it up for their friends, family, and supporters for their gracious contribution and hard cheering. This Saturday will not be one to miss!

We’d like to continue this winning Wildcat tradition and development of youth football players in the West Seattle area by welcoming in any and all families in the community to join us next year for another action packed, exciting football experience.
