Preview proposed design for Nova before Thursday’s review

The second “packet” for this Thursday’s Southwest Design Review Board doubleheader is now available – the design proposal for Nova, Harbor Properties‘ 62-apartment project at 36th/Snoqualmie in The Triangle, north of The Grove/West Seattle Inn motel. See the full “packet” of graphics and info here. Nova is the second of two projects on the Thursday night schedule, with discussion expected to start around 8 pm (its first SWDRB review was in March); the meeting begins at 6:30 pm with the “early design guidance” review for the 117-apartment 3247 Avalon Way project (its “packet” was available last week, as reported here). Both discussions will happen upstairs at the Senior Center of West Seattle (California/Oregon).

Wow. What will happen to the YMCA ‘loft’? I really hope the YMCA will not be cutting facility space!

Is there really that big of a demand for apts? Enlighten me.

KMN – The Y and our members have benefited greatly from the use of the loft. We’ve got a new space lined up and will share more in the next few weeks. It will be ready to go when we need to move from the old loft. Thanks to Harbor for being a good landlord – looking forward to Nova!

ttt, iMHO, not at the price points of the new “luxury” apartments that keep getting built. I live a few blocks away from both Link and Mural, and my rent on a house is cheaper than what their 2 bedroom apartments go for.

Finally. I’ve been waiting for somebody to build an apartment building with big laser beams shining out from the landscaping. That is what those red lines are, right?

  • JumboJim July 25, 2011 (8:36 pm)

YOU PEOPLE. YOU GET OFF MY LAWN. YOU PEOPLE… ANYWHO.

  • kmn July 26, 2011 (8:04 am)

What’s with the shouting, DF and JumboJim????
    .
Thanks Josh Sutton! The YMCA feels strapped for space as it is! Also, have you ever tried to find parking there between 9am and 10am?!?! Crazy!

I really hope they don’t do a vertical building like that. I strogly beleive in the step-back construction. You know….have the 2nd floor back from the 1st floor space. Is that wha it’s called? I like the look.

    Will those red lasers hurt?

Sorry, comment time is over.
