West Seattle restaurants: Alki Café has a message for you

At right, that’s Alki Café owner Sharon Bang, with waitperson Rebecca. Sharon contacted WSB to ask if we’d share a message with you: Alki Café IS OPEN. Apparently the recent news about the Alki Bakery shutdown across the street confused some people who thought the two businesses were still under the same ownership. But the café has long had separate ownership; Sharon’s owned it for more than a year and a half, and wants to reiterate: Her café is open.

Yep, it’s open and still the best place to get “Cinnamon French Toast” … I’ve even gotten my picky grandkids to try it and love it!!

Yeah! I love Becca, she and Pam are the reason that I love Alki Cafe. Also, if you haven’t been since the new owners took over – go! They’re so much better than the old, miserable owners!

Love their breakfast! I don’t know where else to get rye bread in Seattle that’s like rye bread i used to be able to get in NY. I wish i could buy loaves of it! Now if they would start selling Alki Bakery cinnamon rolls, i would be a happy woman.

Thank you all for such nice comments. I have to say that we have awesome customers! We have been serving Alki Bakery cinnamon rolls along. You will like cinnamon roll french toast too. It’s one of our best selling breakfast items. Thank you everyone for supporting our cafe :)

Word on the street is the owner of Alki Cafe is going to take over the former Alki Bakery space and operate BOTH spaces. :)

Sorry, comment time is over.
