2 stolen-car reports to pass along – who knows, one could turn up on your street. First, from Robert:

1997 Honda Civic EX stolen from driveway in Delridge/Puget Ridge neighborhood (21st Ave SW) Thursday approx. 12:30 pm-1:30 pm
586 XVC: white, 2-door, tinted windows, sunroof. If spotted, please dial 9-1-1- then text me at 206.462.2972

And from Amber:

Our 1999 Dark Green Chevy Suburban WA License Plate 117-SPU was stolen from our driveway last night 5/22/10 from 3200 block of 46th Ave. SW. Our other car was broken into the same night but not taken. I am hoping someone took it for a joy ride and has left it in some other neighborhood, It is not new so
not sure why they would want it; otherwise it is a gas guzzler, but came in handy for our use for carpooling.

My Subaru was stolen 2 weeks ago and I have not heard anything about it yet. This happened in the 3200 block of 44th Ave SW. Something has to be done, we need to be able to wake up and our cars be there and not feel like we need to sleep in them to make we have one in the morning. Alarms are not always working they know where the wire is and they just cut the wire.

Hope your cars are returned to you I know how much you miss them I miss mine.

Last night, an attempt was made to steal my neighbor’s car. They somehow slammed it into another neighbor’s car and flipped it in the middle of the road at a different area of 46th Ave SW.

My car was stolen sometime Friday night/Saturday morning in the 3800 block of 53rd SW (Genesee Hill). Since I have tracking device on my car, it was recovered around noon Saturday in Tacoma. Of course, it cost me over $300 of impound fees and also some body damage not yet assessed. Other than the cigar smoking in the car, no interior damage. I guess I should clean out my garage and put the car in there!

Our Suburban was found 5/30 Sunday night, was impounded and since we were notified Monday by SPD the impound lot was closed so we could not go see it. Went today the car was cleaned out they stipped out all the seats, mirrors, visors, door handles pretty much everything. Took the tires and battery and left it on the side of the road. I pretty much have a sick feeling and I miss my car.

Sorry to hear that, Amber. How far away did they find it, do you know? I am surprised to often hear of stolen cars – like Tina’s, in another story – turning up relatively close to where they were taken.

Des Moines but it looked as if it was just dropped off there after taking everything they wanted, as it only had a tempory seat in it and wheels from a car that got them there. So I am not sure how far or close it was striped, from where it was taken from.
