West Seattle Farmers’ Market: What you can expect today

Strawberries and cherries should be available today, according to the latest fresh sheet from the West Seattle Farmers’ Market (10 am-2 pm, 44th/Alaska). See it here.

This was a great morning to be at the Market. Got some nice photos of the SPLENDID floral bouquets and so many nice lettuces, cherries, pastries etc.

Anyone have any idea when we’ll see non-hothouse tomatoes?

I bought some organic tomatoes grown in Snoho and they looked fabulous…perhaps they were grown in hothouses, but they look better than the BC hothouse ones in the stores. They looked so good I did not inquire as to their provenance.

Does anyone know the name of the musician that was there? I didn’t pick up a CD and my daughter can’t stop talking about his “perfect” music!

Pasquale Santos, according to the Neighborhood Farmers’ Market Alliance Twitter feed.
