Thistle’s closed in both directions between 39th and 40th due to a two-car accident. Traffic is being routed down the side streets while police are still investigating. One of the cars is still in the street along with some debris.
UPDATE 1 PM: Thistle is open again. One car was able to leave the scene under its own power. The other car has been towed.
FYI Trenton is closed in the block that stretches alongside Westwood Village due to construction. The “detour” goes through the shopping center. Traffic was a mess about 30 min ago; lots of impatient folks.
Thanks for the update, so many of these projects that don’t have official advance notice, we drive as many major routes daily as we can to see what’s up but we REALLY appreciate info sharing like this … reposting to the top of the page so more people will see … TR

As someone who lives very close to Thistle I can answer that – “way too fast”. What car doesn’t go way too fast on Thistle? After all, it is an off-ramp from I-35. :-(
