Bridge alert: Crash on Fauntleroy end of westbound side

Thanks to Mac for the tip:

> There’s a car that jumped the curb westbound on The Bridge, up the hill by Walking on Logs. Heavy rescue is on the scene, traffic is slow.

UPDATE: Tow truck on the scene as we arrived – traffic moving normally now. Here’s a photo. Nobody hurt so far as we can tell; fire crews cleared pretty quickly:

Too bad for the driver, but all I notice is the overgrown hill. Thats a fine “welcome to West Seattle”. Can’t the city mow the darn grass more than once a year? Even then they only mow a small portion. Maybe we could get a goat?

WTH? How did they do that?
That’s about a hundred yards from where I’ve been all day and I didn’t hear a thing.

I wondered how they got so far up the hill. Maybe came around the corner too fast and started to slide then over corrected and went off the road? Glad no one was hurt.

Oh yeah, and get a goat. I think someone posted on here a while ago about the reasons for why the “grass” is not maintained .. budgets or free labor or something.

Looks like the statues are trying to get out of the way.

Hi. Does anyone know if the people in the white car were okay? I have a friend who has a car like that, though he’s a very skilled and safe (not fast) driver. Thanks.

    LOL! “Run away! Car!”

There’s talk of a local community group organizing a cleanup here in the not-too-distant future. We’ll let you know when we hear more. As for injuries – no medic unit was ever dispatched so that would tend to mean if anyone was hurt, it was not very serious, because no one went to the hospital.

I think we found a solution to the parking problem in the Junction!

I saw the guy climbing out of his car this morning as I drove into downtown. He looked fine, but dazed.

Sorry, comment time is over.
