West Seattle Crime Watch: About that Sat. night search

Lots of e-mails asking about this one — after an intense helicopter/ground search over part of east West Seattle on Saturday night — finally got the info: Lt. Norm James at the Southwest Precinct says it started with a domestic-violence call, one person threatening another with a knife (in a situation where there already was a restraining order) — the victim was not hurt, but it took about an hour to find and arrest the suspect (Lt. James says the K-9 team made the capture in the 5300 block of 21st SW).

Good to know what was going on. We figured it was a time to check that every door was locked. Thanks for keeping us informed.

Thanks for the info. It’s always disturbs me a bit when helicopters hover around an area. I always think somethings up. So it’s nice to know what that was about. And I’m glad that they were able to catch the person.

    Way to go crime-fighting doggies!

Thank-you so much for following up on this. I was very curious. I live in the 5200 block of 23rd Ave and the police were parked in front of my house. I really am glad to know that the person was caught and appreciate this followup in the West Seattle Blog. The police were going through all of the few vacant lots that we have left and they were on our dead-end street searching with the police dogs for quite a while. Yes… way to go crime fighting doggies and their police friends. Glad they got him. Thanks again.

Sorry, comment time is over.
