Charlestown Cafe update: At least a few more weeks

ccfiresmall.jpgOne week after our last update on fire repairs at the Charlestown Cafe, we went over to the restaurant to see if owner Larry Mellum had anything new to report – He does, and it’ll be disappointing news for CC fans: Kitchen repair work is a little more extensive than expected, and with the permits they need to get, and other aspects of the process, it will take at least two more weeks before they’ll be ready to reopen.

We have lunch at the Charleston quite a bit – and went by the other day to stop in and saw that it was closed….thought it was the Petco issue – so we all thought they had closed up and left…. Glad to hear they will be back – but any ideas as to when?

    Penny,

As it says in the story above “at least two more weeks”.

Does this mean their prices are going up again? Unless your a senior the Charleston isn’t all that great.

All I care about is that this FABULOUS restaurant be reopened. A bunch of us come from all over to breakfast there on Saturdays and miss it HORRIBLY.
The food is GREAT and the staff is soooooo frienly, professional and accomodating. Each Saturday when we come together at the Charlestown we are greeted as family.
And if the prices have to go up so be it. There is NO OTHER place like this cafe.
    Thanks. Sarahleah@hebrewletters.com
